My Life is a work in progress
And I don’t think I’m that good at it yet
There are days I wish I were still with you
And days I wish we had never met

I’ve gone from riches to ashes
I’ve gone from poor to great wealth
I’ve lived with the high and mighty
And I’ve had to learn to live in stealth

My Life is a work in progress
I’m not sure I’ll ever get it right
I don’t know that I’ll ever see you again
And I don’t know what I’d say if I might

I’ve had the best of intentions
And paved the path of my own hell
I’ve done things that others only dream of
And I’ve learned to live on my dreams as well

‘Cause My Life is a work in progress
I’m not sure I’ve done it all that well
But I know that I’ll continue all my life
I’ll strive to keep on learning & yearning
For the good things in life……
